RevTracky ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of all users, including students under the age of 18. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used when you use the RevTracky mobile application or website.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you create an account or use the app:

Account details — username and email address
Study activity — revision session durations, subjects studied, and timetable entries
Progress data — XP, coins earned, level, streak, and mood state
Purchased items — in-app shop items selected (all free, no real money involved)
Leaderboard participation — username and XP displayed publicly if you opt in
Device information — device type and operating system version, used for crash reporting and compatibility

We do not collect payment information, location data, or contact lists.

2. How We Use Your Information

To operate your account and sync your progress across devices
To display your rank on the leaderboard (only if you choose to opt in)
To send optional daily revision reminders via push notification
To improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or third-party marketers.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on servers hosted by Replit in the United States. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transfers. Account passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days.

4. Children's Privacy

RevTracky is designed for GCSE and A-Level students, which may include users under the age of 13 or 16 depending on jurisdiction. We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the app. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information from children beyond what is listed above.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information you wish to have removed, please contact us at revtracky@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

5. Push Notifications

With your permission, RevTracky sends a daily revision reminder notification at 7pm. You can disable this at any time in your device's notification settings or within the app.

6. Third-Party Services

RevTracky uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Expo (EAS) — app distribution and over-the-air updates (expo.dev/privacy)
Replit — server infrastructure (replit.com/site/privacy)
Resend — transactional email delivery (resend.com/privacy)

7. Your Rights (UK & EU Users)

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and data
Withdraw consent for push notifications at any time
Lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk)

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of RevTracky after changes means you accept the updated policy.
